It was pickup day from the Central Columbia Middle School’s food drive. And yes, it was another very successful food drive.
Middle School teacher Kelsey Downs shared that 3,503 non-perishable food items were donated. The sixth-grade class, which collected the most, helped by loading 50 boxes of food onto a truck bound for the Bloomsburg

Besides the food donation, a check for $6,000 was presented to the Bloomsburg Food Cupboard as part of the CCMS 2023 campaign.

We accept food donations all year long. Food may be dropped off at the Food Cupboard (329 Center Street, Bloomsburg. PA 17815) Tuesdays, 9am-2:15pm, and Sundays, 8:30am-10am. There are also drop-off boxes outside the Food Cupboard and at the rectory entrance to St. Columba Church. You can call 570-784-0801 with any other questions. Or, you can donate now using PayPal on the Donate page (see above menu).

Monetary donations help us buy fresh produce and fill the gaps to provide consistent, nutritious food to our families.

The Bloomsburg Food Cupboard is a 501c3 (tax-exempt) nonprofit organization. Your generous donations to the Food Cupboard are tax-deductible.
We serve families in Bloomsburg, Central Columbia, Southern, Millville and Benton School Districts.
Families choose a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables along with other perishable and nonperishable foods.

We've been helping families since 1996. We've learned some lessons and made some friends along the way.
Employees from our local and regional PPL programs including administration and union workers arrived to prepare, set up, close down, and help distribute food to close to 200 families this week. What a difference 15 helpers can make. PPL, you are invited back anytime.
